Pine Ridge Center

Westside Campus

Pine Ridge Center is a regional behavioral healthcare facility dedicated to providing a full continuum of behavioral health and substance abuse services to the people of southeastern Tennessee. Services are provided for individuals and families through a broad range of treatment programs and educational outreach efforts. A truly unique community resource, Pine Ridge Center works to help establish wellness of the whole person- emotionally, socially, spiritually and physically.

Senior Care

Pine Ridge Senior Care is a distinct and separate unit designed to meet the unique behavioral health and medication management needs of senior adults.  This special unit includes private rooms, handicap accessibility and comfortable accommodations to enhance individualized care, promote improved sleep and daily activities.

Addictive Disorders Program

This program treats individuals with both chemical dependency and mental health problems, often requiring detoxification.  Frequently, underlying mental health disorders are masked by substance abuse.  Our program focuses on clearing substance abuse symptoms in order to address the mental health needs and enhance long-term recovery.

Inpatient Treatment

Pine Ridge Center offers three distinct and separate programs for patients requiring in-house treatment. The structure, safety and restriction of inpatient care is necessary when the patient is a danger to self or others or is in need of medical detoxification from alcohol or other substances.

The three areas of inpatient care are:

  • Adult mental health
  • Addictive disorders in association with other diagnoses
  • Senior adult behavioral health and medication management

Outpatient Treatment

Pine Ridge offers three distinct and separate programs for adult patients.  These outpatient programs are designed to meet the needs of individuals with psychiatric (Mental Health IOP), substance abuse (Chemical Dependence IOP), or both problems (Dual Diagnosis IOP).  During the assessment process, a patient may be referred to the outpatient program at Pine Ridge.

The three outpatient programs available are:

  • Mental Health Intensive Outpatient (MH-IOP)
    • This program consists of three hours of intensive and comprehensive care, meeting four days a week.  The focus is on group and individual therapy and coping skills.  The program includes direct care from a team that includes a psychiatrist, nurse and licensed therapist.
  • Chemical Dependence Intensive Outpatient (CD-IOP)
    • This program meets three days a week and consists of three hours of intensive and comprehensive care focusing on substance abuse issues.  The focus is on support services, education about recovery, relapse prevention, group therapy and community resources. The program includes direct care from a licensed alcohol and drug therapist and treatment team.
  • Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient (Dual-IOP)
    • This is a combined mental health and chemical dependence program meeting four days a week.
