Nationally Accredited Chest Pain Center
Accredited as a Chest Pain Center by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, we provide comprehensive heart care from chest pain, to cardiac catheterization. The accreditation recognizes SkyRidge Medical Center’s high standards for clinical performance and personalized care – and places SkyRidge among an elite group of healthcare providers delivering top caliber cardiac care.
As Bradley County's only cardiac cath unit, averaging over 400 procedures annually, the cardiac service department has grown in response to the needs of the community. The cardiac cath unit includes the revolutionary GE Innova 2002. Utilizing a new CT workstation, our physicians are able to perform arterial scoring, a new diagnostic technique that can detect arterial blockage from plaque build-up.
SkyRidge Medical Center's Cardiac Care Services are located on the first floor and our special inpatient cardiac unit is located on the 4th floor. Under the medical direction of a board-certified cardiologist, specially trained cardiac nurses and technologists work hand-in-hand making sure patients and their families are comfortable, safe, and informed during cardiac procedures.
Treatment of Heart Attacks
If you or a loved one experience a heart attack, you should know that our cardiac team works hand in hand with our emergency department to respond quickly—regularly outperforming national standards for the timely treatment of heart attacks.
Heart Care Facts
