Dexa Scan Testing
Offered through the Imaging Department at SkyRidge Medical Center, this test helps determine if a woman has lost bone density to Osteoporosis. This condition causes bone weakness, and usually occurs in women more rapidly after the onset of menopause. The test takes less than ten minutes, and is generally more than 94% accurate. Talk to your physician to see if this test is appropriate.

Gynecological Exams and Surgeries
Women often place their own care behind that of their families and loved ones. Remember that adult women are encouraged to have an annual pap and pelvic exam annually. A wide range of exams and procedures are available through physicians at SkyRidge Medical Center. Mammography Services
Mammograms are available five days a week at SkyRidge Medical Center. Women over 40 should receive a mammogram every year to screen for breast cancer. Talk to your physician about scheduling your mammogram.

Obstetrical Services
At SkyRidge Medical Center, we’re committed to providing special amenities for our patients – and for expectant parents in particular. Moms-to-be enjoy the comfort of a home-like labor and delivery unit, as well as the peace of mind provided by advanced technology and a Level IIa Nursery. THE WOMEN’S CENTER
The Women’s Center, located just off the main lobby, provides you with a view of our spacious nursery with the latest technology and safety features. The Women’s Center offers services oriented toward the lifetime health of women with an emphasis on reproductive health. Eighteen private rooms bathed in natural light create a bright, homelike atmosphere. For expectant mothers, the Women’s Center features 7 labor, delivery and recovery suites, with private access for families and visitors who wish to share the experience. Three suites feature soothing whirlpools. Throughout the Women’s Center, you will find compassionate nurses and support personnel. These highly qualified professionals work with our affiliated obstetricians, gynecologists, family practitioners and pediatricians to provide you and your family with high quality healthcare services.

Classes Offered
Our classroom provides an ideal setting for health seminars and education. In this intimate setting, the staff and physicians bring the latest and best in health information to women and their families. Our classes include Childbirth and Prenatal Care. We also have two lactation consultants on staff to assist with breastfeeding.
